his black turtle neck and jeans. he was on an indefinite medical leave after battling a liver transplant. he announced apple is launching the second generation i-pad, the i-pad 2. it has front and rear-facing cameras that can photos and video. it's thinner and lighter than the original. it has a faster processer. some models work with at&t and verizon. it's the same price as the original and it's set to ship march 11th. >> the f.b.i. and state and local authorities raided two car clubs in the bay area as part of the investigation into organized crime. this is sky 7 video of one of the targets of the raid, the oaks car club on san pablo avenue in emeryville. and joe's in san bruno was also rated. amy hollyfield joins us now with details. >> cheryl, the manager here

tells me he has no idea this was happening. he didn't know about it until he got a phone call early this morning. right after that phone call somebody grabbed a piece of paper they wrapped food with and heardly and unexpectedly closed for the day and maybe even longer. >> i got scared and nervous and frozen, you know. they said come here. >> with a roomful of customers eating breakfast and placing cards, about 80 federal, state and local officers moved in on the oaks car club in emeryville. they told the customers not to run, that this is a search of the casino, not the patrons. >> to sit down. there's one maybe who had some papers and got afraid and they checked on her first. >> the f.b.i. confirmed that officers from seven different agencies executed a search and arrest warranty car club as part of an investigation into crime

in the pay area. one is the bureau of gambling control. authorities refused to release anymore details. >> hopefully tomorrow we have information we can send off to the public. employees it tell us they haven't seen anyone get arrested this morning. management said this all came as a surprise. >> i know nothing more than what you know on the tv and they're not even letting me in. >> most of the work is being done inside. they're looking at the possibility of organized crime and tax evasion. it looks like they're going to be here a while. we saw fbi agents carrying in four cases of bottled water. amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> firefighters in oaan battled a warehouse fire this morning and found marijuana plants inside. the fire was under control in half an hour. they found an indoor marijuana growing operation with as many as 500 plants that range from 6

inches up to 2 to 3 feet. there were several electrical code violations that probably caused the fire. no one was hurt. >> the san bruno fire chief told investigators this morning he had no idea there was a large gas pipeline running through the neighborhood where september's deadly explosion occurred. the chief testified this morning on the second day of a federal hearing on the san bruno pipeline explosion on capitol hill. he also said they had no specific training of dealing with a pipeline gas of this magnitude. pg&e admitted it did not share, nor did it want to share where its main transmission lines were located for fear of advertisers and other reasons. the association of state fire marshals say firefighters need to be provided about more information about underground pipelines nationwide. >> need to understand how a pipeline operates, understand the different characteristics between the gas and a liquid

pipeline, for example. understand and literally go through some scenarios that take them through different experiences that might occur. >> pg&e said today that a federal website does provide first responders with maps of gas lines. the hearing is expected to wrap up tomorrow with more testimony from pg&e as well as the california public utilities commission. the pipeline explosion in san bruno killed eight people and destroyed 38 homes. >> in contra costa county the head of the drug task force charged with stealing and selling drugs with a co-conspirator will return to court, expected to enter pleaings. they will testify. chris butler is also involved in the case. butler sold two bricks of c-4 explosives to an informant.

a santa rosa mother faces drunk driving and fire endangerment after she crashed her s.u.v. with three young children inside. she was speeding when she ran into a guardrail and flipped her vehicle. you can see the result. her six-year-old and four-year-old daughters were thrown from a the vehicle. her two-year-old son was strapped in his car seat and had to be taken out of the car. everybody in the accident is in stable condition and treated for various injuries. >> a wet day throughout the day. >> mike nicco has a look at live doppler 7 hd. >> hey, good morning to you. yeah, a quieter look this morning but still very moist with a southeasterly wind which means the front is still having trouble pushing through our neighborhoods. that's why you see the scatter of rainfall return. santa rosa more than an inch and a quarter there.

two-thirds in bodega bay. nearly an inch in petaluma. right now we're just dealing with some light rain. around the bay we have 60-minute flight arrival delays because of the low clouds and light rain. about 1700 in san francisco. we didn't see any measurable rain supposedly in san jose but we know they have problem with the bucket there getting fresh recordings. the radar, pretty quiet right now. moisture off to the west with a flow coming ashore. i'll show you how much more i expect and how much longer this wet pattern will continue. >> president obama is saddened and outraged by deadly attack on u.s. troops at germany's frankfort airport. he pledges to spare no effort in the investigation. a gunman fired shots killing two airmen and wounding two others. the two killed were the bus driver and the passenger. the gunman was taken into citizen. the u.s. military has several bases in the frankfort area.

they're used as hubs for operations in afghanistan and iraq. >> the supreme court ruled today the first amendment protects the right to protest at military funerals. the court voted 8-1 in favor of the church at risk of protesting outside the service members. they threw out a $5 million judgment given to the father of a dead marine. chief justice john roberts says the first amendment shielded the protestors. he did say they obeyed police objectives and they were 1,000 feet from the church. >> they will sign a stop gap bill to avoid a government shutdown. the senate passed a bill this morning. this bill drafted by republicans cut $4 billion in spending. mr. obama says he's pleased this

designer john galiano on trial over allegations of making racial slurs. the famous british designer apologized today for his comments. he was fired about dior yesterday following his arrest after a couple accused to anti-semit anti-semitic which is a crime in europe. if convicted he could face up to six months in prison and pay fines. >> williams has undergone an emergency procedure days after doctors discovered a blood clot in her lung. the 29-year-old suffered a pulmonary embolism last week. following up a foot injury the star suffered months ago. doctors are monitoring the situation to avoid additional complications. >> a wet day. let's check with mike nicco after the break and see what's coming up later. >> wet weather i'd say the next 24 to 36 hours and a bit of a

♪ a new study finds too many dating choices may leave you in the lonely hearts club. british researchers analyze they had a higher chance of meeting a partner. well, they didn't. they found people faced with a variety of partners with different interests, jobs and trades were likely to choose nobody at all. the study is in the british journal biology letters. one couple who's made their love connection wants to make sure you can follow every moment leading up to their nuptials. prince williams and kate middleton launched a website today. mainly the couples exist in the social media pages but the photos, updates and even the skinny on kate's gown. the british government launched

showing up around the santa cruz mountain and the diablo range. more showers are possible as you look at this moist flow coming in out of the southwest. we just need a trigger to set off the showers. that will be a little sunshine we get this afternoon. look at these temperatures already. we were mild this morning. the upper 40s to low 50s. now we're in the low 50s in san rafael but mid to upper 50s elsewhere. 60 already in fremont and livermore. 63 monterey for the warm spot. we have mid to upper 50s for the rest of the bay and into your inland neighborhoods. so our highlights, hit and miss showers not only today but again tomorrow. a clap of thunder or two. it will be dry friday and tuesday. so in between rain in the north bay saturday and for the rest of us sunday and to a lesser extent monday. to push through the bay, it's g being hung up by those winds and the moisture, well, it moved out ahead of the front. that's why it wasn't quite as heavy as we thought it was but

still some beneficial rains without the flooding, we'll take it. upper 50s to low 60s. that's our temperatures this afternoon with scattered showers. same type of forecast around the monterey bay. we still have tricky travel up in the sierra, as it's snowing about 7,000 feet. 42 today in tahoe. showers throughtou the central valley and showers moving into los angeles, 62. but up in the grapevine if you're heading that way it's all rain and should remain all rain because of that southerly flow. tonight we'll have scattered showers lingering. mild once again. low 50s around the bay shore. when you head out tomorrow morning in our valleys, you should be mid to upper 40s. the cold front still hung up in the north bay slowly pushing through. by 6:00, you see it looks pretty quiet. you see scattered showers. you can see the sprinkling of showers during the overnight

hours and for the morning commute. by tomorrow just isolated showers. high pressure will come in and kind of dry us. a quarter of an inch around the bay. maybe a half inch in the north bay. here's your accu-weather 7-day forecast. notice how mild those temperatures are, mid to upper 50s around the coast, low to mid-60s around the bay and inland. most of us get one-half of the weekend dry. heavier rain is possible on sunday. >> thanks, mike. >> sure. >> there are some new privacy concerns about-face book. the social net working giant says it will go ahead with plans to share members' phone numbers and addresses with outside software developers. the palo alto based companies say users will get to decide if anyone can access that information but the company hasn't figured out how it will highlight the information for

carolyn had the pregnancy test that morning and he said that carolyn was pregnant but they had transferred another couple's embryos. you know, i'd catch -- i'd catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and i'd think, "pregnant. no my baby."i knew that i was going to give birth to a child that was going to leave the hospital with another family. how in the world am i going to survive that? on the "700 club"
